"Business Travelers: Where in the World Are You?"
presented by: Alexandra LaCombe, Partner - Fragomen Worldwide
Employers sponsoring skilled foreign nationals for work visas are typically faced with wage requirements. This webinar will address what is permissible under the business visa standards, what is forbidden, and how can employers know the difference in order to maintain legal compliance.
Upon completion of the webinar, HR professionals will have a better understanding of following fundamentals of healthcare costs, risk, and employer-employee shared responsibility for both cost and utilization:
- What are the permissible “business “activities that do not require a work permit
- When the combination of activities in the US would require a foreign national to obtain a work permit
- What are the critical difference in the way businesses perceive certain activities versus the way US Government does
- What are some of the specific exceptions to the general definition of “work”
- Best practices to maintain legal compliance in light of expanding needs for global mobility
