"Developing Employer Outreach Through Onsite Chronic Disease Programs"
presented by: Michael Ketslakh - CEO & President, National Diagnostic Services, Inc.
Over the last 3 years, NDS in partnership with area healthcare providers initiated a pilot program with multiple self-insured national employer groups. The pilot focused on reduction of participation barriers for annual wellness, physical exams, blood work and case appropriate diagnostic testing. All the programs collaborated with local health systems and independent providers to identify high-risk individuals and coordinate their management. Mobile medical clinics delivered to places of employment were utilized as a primary tool to reduce participation barriers. Educational on-site seminars were utilized to reduce anxiety often responsible for noncompliance, and to motivate employees to participate. In certain instances, incentives were utilized.
The program measured employee participation based on sex and identification of specific pathologies as they correlate to national statistics. Engagement was measured with and without the use of incentives. Second-year participation was also measured, as well as willingness to act on assessed medical recommendations.
This general session will include the aforementioned outcome data and will describe development of the pilot, employer and employee buy in, analysis and discussion of outcome and cost data and program implementation specifics.
Upon completion of the webinar, HR professionals will gain understanding of:
Investment and ROI for program delivery; and
Employee engagement strategies, rate of chronic disease detection, and methodology to engage participants with local providers.
