General Session: FMLA - Basic Building Blocks 

Jeff Frasier attorney with Miller Johnson,will give us an overview FMLA - Family and Medical Leave Act. This informative session will review eligibility, requirements, and provide insight on your responsibilities as an employer. A 2 hour Professional Development seminar on FMLA protocols will begin after the general session meeting. See events for a separate registration. 

Guests are welcome to attend for a fee of $35, payable at the door. 

 

 About the Presenter: 

Jeff Frasier has extensive experience counseling employers regarding Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)/ Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) [disability management] issues; anti-harassment matters; effective discipline and discharge, union avoidance, collective bargaining, employment discrimination avoidance, and administrative agency matters.He has an advanced understanding of complicated disability management issues that challenge employers.  He is valued for his counsel regarding untangling the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers’ compensation, and short and long term disability overlaps.

Jeff is a graduate of Hope College and the University of California - Hastings College of Law. He has been named as a Michigan "Super Lawyer" in Employment and Labor. He was also listed in the "Best Lawyers in America" for Labor Management, Employment Law-Management, and Litigation - Labor and Employment.
