"The Future of Work: Deloitte's Perspective on Global Human Capital Trends"
Today, like never before, work is changing – driven by accelerating connectivity, new talent models, and cognitive tools. Deloitte’s seven disruptors around the Future of Work and insights from the 2019 Global Human Capital Trends Survey connect exponential changes in technology with the generational and people-based changes that are changing the world of work on a global scale. We’ll discuss the trifecta of the work, workforce, and workplace, the changes occurring to each, and what’s happening to skills, jobs, and organizations as we all adapt and learn for future growth.
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Articulate and understand the forces driving the Future of Work;
- Connect global disruption to changes in their own organization; and
- Consider tactical next steps to prepare for the future of their work, workforce and workplaces.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Nicole Overley focuses on Human Capital within Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice, supporting Deloitte’s clients to achieve their mission and vision through transformational change and unlocking the potential of exponential technologies, new workforce models, and ways of working within organizations.
Nicole managed the development of Deloitte’s Workforce Transformation methodology within Human Capital and has embedded with Deloitte’s global Innovation group to analyze how disruptive technologies can empower organizations to rethink their work. Nicole has worked with a broad range of Deloitte’s clients across industries in both the public and private sectors, including the nation’s largest integrated health care system, leading-edge state and local agencies and nonprofits, and multinational corporations in the hospitality & retail sectors.
Nicole is also a certified Business Chemistry® facilitator and has designed and delivered interactive leadership offsites, workshops, and trainings both within and beyond Deloitte. Nicole holds an MA in International Finance & Strategic Studies and a BA in International Studies: Public Policy & Economics from The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. She is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP from the Project Management Institute and in Agile.
