Judy Vandenbil wrote on the LAKESHORE HR Management Association LHRMA: General Membership wall: Good afternoon, We are looking for a video on "Train the Trainer". The training is not subject specific; this is for training in general. If anyone has a video or resource they would like to share; or any other suggestions; please email me at jvandenbil@greatlakescastings.com. Thank you!

Melanie Lotterman wrote on the LAKESHORE HR Management Association LHRMA: General Membership wall: Hello, We’re working on creating a policy regarding call-in minimums. Can you share what you have in place? For example: Maintenance employee is called in on a Saturday to work on a truck/machinery while it’s not running/in use. He drives 30+ minutes from home to work and spends 1 hours working. He then drives the same distance home. Do you only pay him for the 1 hour of work, or do you have a guaranteed amount of hours for these types of situations? Thank you! Melanie Lotterman mlotterman@wmuniform.com

Allison Ives wrote on the LAKESHORE HR Management Association LHRMA: General Membership wall: Hello, My employer has a question about best practices with retirement benefits. Email me at allison.ives@disher.com if you have any feedback for us. 1. What percent of your benefit costs are related to retirement benefits of individuals vs. insurances, cash bonuses, etc? 2. As a percent of total compensation, what is your retirement benefit? IE: Retirement benefit (401k, ESOP, etc.) are 5% of total eligible compensation. Thank you!
