Detroit SHRM Mentoring Program
Interested in joining the Detroit SHRM Mentoring Program? It is intended to facilitate a connection between less experienced human resource practitioners and professionals who have established a career in HR. A mentor will share their experience, make suggestions, provide resources and offer unbiased feedback. The relationship requires honesty, openness, commitment and an effort by both individuals.
A mentor and protégé:
1. Identify objectives, goals and developmental needs
2. Define and establish a plan to accomplish protégé goals
3. Meet regularly in person, via phone or email to review and evaluate progress
It's a great way to learn and grow within the profession!
Remember, participating as a mentor in a structured mentoring program is recognized for strategic recertification credits by HRCI.
