Capuchin Soup Kitchen

They are rooted in the Franciscan tradition, serving those who suffer from the lack of basic human needs. Volunteers are at the heart of our mission of concern and commitment to the poor and ensure that we are able to return eighty-nine cents of every donated dollar to direct client services. Volunteers serve meals and assist in the kitchens; sort and size clothing; prepare emergency food packages; work in the Earthworks Garden; tutor, teach and mentor children and assist at a number of special events held throughout the year. Volunteers will work hard, have fun, and learn a great deal about themselves and their fellow human beings. If interested, email or contact the Volunteer Office at 313-822-8606 ext. 10.
