The Michigan Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (MISHRM) is dedicated to providing service, leadership and development opportunities to human resource professionals in our state. MISHRM is the leading voice for the human resource profession in Michigan.
 
Our PURPOSE is to:
  1. Facilitate communication between the Michigan HR professionals we serve and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
  2. Promote HR professional development.
  3. Monitor and influence state legislation.
  4. Provide networking opportunities for HR professionals.
  5. Support local professional and student chapters.

The Michigan Council of SHRM exists to provide opportunities for local SHRM chapters to network, share best practices, provide development opportunities to their members and act as a conduit to SHRM.

The Michigan Council of SHRM is comprised of the President of each local SHRM affiliate chapter in Michigan, District Directors, Core Leadership Directors (College Relations, Diversity, HR Certification Institute, Government/Legislative Affairs, Membership, SHRM Foundation, and Workforce Readiness), a State Conference Director and an Executive Council.
